Sunrisers Hyderabad appoints Brad Haddin as assistant coach

Former Australia wicketkeeper-batsman Haddin will replace Simon Helmot who took over as assistant coach at the start of 2018.

Brad Haddin will join the reshuffled coaching setup that will be led by Trevor Bayliss — England’s World Cup-winning coach.

 

Former Australia wicketkeeper-batsman Brad Haddin has been named assistant coach of Sunrisers Hyderabad for the 2020 edition of the Indian Premier League.

Haddin will join the reshuffled coaching setup that will be led by Trevor Bayliss — England’s World Cup-winning coach. Bayliss replaced Tom Moody.

 

Haddin will replace Simon Helmot who took over as assistant coach at the start of 2018.

Bayliss was the coach of Sydney Sixers with Haddin as skipper when it won the Champions League in 2012. The duo have sufficient IPL experience as well. Both were part of Kolkata Knight Riders although their paths did not cross.

Haddin was part of the franchise in 2011, while Bayliss coached the side from 2012 to 2015. Sunrisers have made the playoffs for the past four seasons; it clinched the trophy in 2016.
