IPL 2019: Mumbai Indians sweats over Alzarri Joseph's fitness

Mumbai Indians' Alzarri Joseph jammed his right shoulder into the turf and was seen writhing in pain. The Mumbai team physio, Nitin Patel, could be seen tending to the Antiguan pacer.

Following his 52-ball 81 against the Rajasthan Royals, Mumbai Indians' South African recruit, Quinton de Kock, felt dehydrated and did not take the field in the second innings.

In his absence, Ishan Kishan took charge behind the stumps. “It was very hot and he (de Kock) had batted for long. So, it was a case of just some dehydration. He should be fine before the next game,” Ishan said in the post-match media interaction.

After Buttler and Sanju Samson’s exit, Mumbai tried putting the pressure back on the Royals, but K Gowtham and Shreyas Gopal held their nerves to take the team over the line. “We bowled well after Samson got out and got wickets too, but they got some lucky boundaries. I think we played good cricket. We got to know a bit late where and how to bowl on this track,” Ishan said.
