IPL auctions: Harbhajan to don Chennai colours in 2018

The 37-year-old off-spinner bagged 127 wickets at an economy rate of 6.96 during the 10 seasons with the Mumbai-based franchise.

Harbhajan Singh had been synonymous with Mumbai Indians, playing for the defending champion since the inception of IPL in 2008.

Off-spinner Harbhajan Singh went to Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for his base price of Rs. 2 crores. Harbhajan had previously played for three-time IPL champion Mumbai Indians (MI), leading the side during the 2012 IPL and two Champions League Twenty20 editions — including its victorious campaign in 2011.

The 37-year-old, during his 10 seasons with the Mumbai-based franchise, bagged 127 wickets at an economy rate of 6.96.

 

On not being retained by MI, Harbhajan had earlier said, "Whatever they are doing, they are doing it for the best of their team and whatever they are looking to do, I am not disappointed. I am always like this. Whoever takes me I will give my 100 per cent."
