Sunrisers Hyderabad bettered its own record of the highest-ever team total in IPL history, scoring 287 for 3 while batting first against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Monday.

Pat Cummins-led team had scored 277 for 3 in its second match of the ongoing edition against Mumbai Indians at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, breaking the then record of 263 for 5, set by RCB against the now-defunct Pune Warriors India in 2013 in Bengaluru.

SRH VS RCB HIGHLIGHTS

The IPL 2024 match between SRH and RCB also broke the record for the highest aggregate in a T20 fixture as RCB’s response of 262 for 7 took the overall runs tally to 549 runs. The previous best was 523 runs from the match between SRH and MI this season.

Travis Head’s destructive hundred was the driving force behind Sunrisers Hyderabad’s record-breaking 287 against a rudderless Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
