West Indian spinner Sunil Narine is likely to visit the bio-mechanical facility at the Sri Ramachandra Sports Medicine Centre here to get his bowling action cleared ahead of IPL-11.
According to the IPL guidelines — the competition is run by BCCI — any bowler who has been 'reported' has to come to a Board-accredited clinic and the facility in Chennai is the only such centre in the country.
Narine, who was 'reported' in the recent Pakistan Super League, and then put on a 'warning' list and allowed to bowl in the competition, will have to go through the process in India since the IPL guidelines are stricter.
He will be racing against time as well since his team, Kolkata Knight Riders, plays its first match against Royal Challengers Bangalore in Kolkata on April 8.The spinner, influential in the game's shortest format, has run into trouble with his action on more than one occasion earlier and was at the facility here in 2016.
A source said to Sportstar , here, on Friday, "We have to first look at the videos of his earlier faulty action, and then see his remodelled one now."

After Narine will be tested using 3-D technology and sensors for assessing elbow flexion from different angles, a report will be sent to the BCCI Suspect Action Committee comprising S. Venkatraghavan, Javagal Srinath and A.V. Jayaprakash for a decision on his eligibility to bowl in the competition.
Since Narine is an international bowler, the ICC protocol will have to be followed too.
