Kohli, the only cricketer with deep pockets

According to the Forbes list, Virat Kohli — with an estimated earning of US$24m — is 83rd on the list headed by Floyd Mayweather and Lionel Messi.

According to Forbes, Kohli earns his moolah from New Era, Tissot, Oakley, Uber, Puma, Audi, Colgate-Palmolive, Herbalife and Pepsi.

 

India skipper Virat Kohli is the only cricketer on the annual list of the world’s 100 highest paid athletes, as published by the Forbes magazine on Tuesday.

Kohli, with estimated earnings of US$24m, is 83rd on the current list. It is believed that the cricketer earns at least $20m from endorsements, and the remaining $4m from the match fees.

A year ago, Kohli was 89th in the list (the estimated earning being US$22m).

According to Forbes, Kohli earns his moolah from New Era, Tissot, Oakley, Uber, Puma, Audi, Colgate-Palmolive, Herbalife and Pepsi.

American boxer Floyd Mayweather tops the list with US$285m, Argentina footballer Lionel Messi is second with US$111m.
