Now, it's MPCA's turn to face the Lodha music

The Justice Lodha Committeehas advised the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association to hold in abeyance its elections that was scheduled to be held on Monday, August 29.

On August 9, the Lodha Committee set timelines (of September 30 and October 15) for the BCCI and its member units to implement the recommendations.

The Justice Lodha Committee, which has instructed the BCCI and its affiliated units to carry out governance and management changes, has advised the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association to hold in abeyance its elections that was scheduled to be held on Monday, August 29.

The committee had advised the Cricket Association of Bengal and Karnataka State Cricket Association, a little over a month go, not to go ahead with its elections since the Supreme Court had endorsed almost all recommendations of the Lodha Committee that had to be followed by the BCCI and its member units.

On August 9, the Lodha Committee set timelines (of September 30 and October 15) for the BCCI and its member units to implement the recommendations.

Meanwhile five Life Members of the MPCA filed a writ petition with the Madhya Pradesh High Court on Friday seeking to conduct the AGM and elections as per the Lodha Committee recommendations. After hearing both parties the High Court has asked MPCA to reply in three weeks time.
