A win will take Bengaluru to joint-fourth position with Shillong Lajong.

Bengaluru FC (BFC) takes on Shillong Lajong at the Nehru Stadium, in Shillong, on Saturday. A win will take Bengaluru to joint-fourth position with Shillong Lajong. This is Bengaluru's penultimate match in a tough I-League campaign so far. Albert Roca’s side come into this game on the back of a 1-0 win over title-contenders Aizawl FC.

“Both Lajong and us are trying to finish the season as high as possible on the points table. While we are out of the title race, they are still in with a mathematical chance, which makes Saturday’s game a very tough proposition for us,” Roca said. Bengaluru goalkeeper Amrinder Singh and defender Sandesh Jhingan haven’t made the trip owing to minor injuries. The status of Udanta Singh, who suffered an ankle injury in the previous match, remains in doubt.

Lajong, which played out a 1-1 draw against Mohun Bagan on Wednesday, has been led well by striker Aser Dipanda. The Cameroon footballer has scored 10 goals in this competition, and poses a big threat to the Bengaluru defence.
