AFC Asian Cup Qualifier: India reaches Bishkek ahead of Kyrgyz Republic tie

Although both the sides have secured their place in the AFC Asian Cup 2019, Indian coach Stephen Constantine expects a tough closing encounter between the two sides.

India is currently at the top of Group E, with 13 points from five games, while it faces the Kyrgyz Republic, at the Dolen Omurzakov Stadium, on Tuesday, at 7.30 PM (IST).

The Indian national football team, on Sunday, reached Bishkek ahead of it’s AFC Asian Cup Qualifier tie against the Kyrgyz Republic, which would also be India’s final encounter of the qualifier.

India is currently at the top of Group E, with 13 points from five games, while it faces the Kyrgyz Republic, at the Dolen Omurzakov Stadium, on Tuesday, at 7.30 PM (IST).

The home leg of the tie was won by India, courtesy Sunil Chhetri’s solo goal. Unfortunately, Chhetri misses out of this return leg tie, owing to a couple of yellow cards, he received in the previous couple of matches.

Although both the sides have secured their place in the AFC Asian Cup 2019, Indian coach Stephen Constantine expects a tough closing encounter between the two sides.

"They are a very good side. They have good quality all over the field but so do we. They also have the home advantage this time around. We will have to be very careful to maintain our focus and try to get the three points", said Constantine, as reported by AIFF in a press release.
