Sami Khedira has signed a new deal with Juventus that will keep him with the Italian champion until 2021.

The Germany international has become a key member of Massimiliano Allegri's squad since joining from Real Madrid in 2015.

Khedira has won three successive domestic doubles and was also part of the side that reached the Champions League final in 2017, though it lost 4-1 to former club Madrid in Cardiff.

Juve has handed the 31-year-old, whose previous contract was due to expire at the end of the campaign, a two-year extension which includes an option for a third season.

"Since my first day I've had a special feeling and it quickly felt like home here," Khedira wrote on Twitter, accompanied by a picture of him signing the contract.

"I'm very proud to be part of the great history of the club and of the Juventus family.

"Let's continue to make black and white history."

Allegri's side has started the season with three consecutive wins and face Sassuolo on Saturday.
