Queen's Cup: Bhullar shares the lead

Gaganjeet Bhullar put himself in prime position for his ninth Asian Tour title as he carded a second successive six-under 65 to share the pole position with Thailand’s Jazz Janewattananond after the third round of Queen’s Cup golf here on Saturday.

Bhullar moved from tied-third to share the top position with a total of 15-under 198.

Bhullar, who had blazed through the back nine on Friday with a six-under 29, shot four-under 31. He was seven-under through 16 holes before he bogeyed the 17th. He narrowly missed a birdie on Par-5 18th and was joint first. Bhullar has had one bogey each day.

Rashid Khan (68) moved to T-11, while Khalin Joshi (67) also had an upward move to T-23 and S. Chikkarangappa (70) was T-38th. Honey Baisoya (73) and Viraj Madappa (71) were both T-55th and Himmat Rai (74) was T-66.

The 22-year-old Janewattananond, had one birdie on the second in his first 14 holes and then had three birdies and one bogey in his last four holes.

Pavit Tangkamolprasert of Thailand trails the leading duo by one in third place on his own following a 65.
