Continuing its fine show at the Asian Champions Trophy, Indian women’s hockey team stunned higher-ranked China 3-1 to register its second consecutive win in the tournament, here on Wednesday.

Vandana Katariya (4th, 11th minutes) scored a brace while Gurjit Kaur converted a penalty corner to ensure India’s comfortable win over eighth-ranked China. China's lone goal came in the 15th minute thanks to Wen Dan.

India is currently No. 1 in the rankings with two victories from as many games. It will play Malaysia next on Thursday. Malaysia beat Japan 3-2 in another encounter. India had earlier defeated Japan 4-1 in its tournament-opener.
