Qualification process:
12 teams will compete in handball: the hosts, the world champion, four continental champions and six teams from the World Olympic qualification tournaments respectively.
India Watch: India will have to qualify from the Asian Championships in September (women) and October (men), which looks unlikely if past performances are taken into consideration. |
