Sachin to present BMW cars to India's Rio stars

Olympics medallists P.V. Sindhu and Sakshi Malik as well as coach Gopichand and gymnast Dipa Karmakar will be presented the cars at a function in Hyderabad on Sunday.

Sachin will present these cars to the outstanding Olympic athletes, at the Gopichand Academy in Hyderabad on Sunday.

Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar will present BMW cars to the two Rio Olympics medallists - shuttler P.V. Sindhu and wrestler Sakshi Malik - and also to gymnast Dipa Karmakar here on Sunday.

India’s chief national badminton coach, Pullela Gopichand, who produced two Olympic medallists in the last two editions – bronze by Saina Nehwal in the 2012 edition and silver by Sindhu in the recent Rio, will also be presented with a BMW car as a token of appreciation for his “outstanding contribution to Indian sport”.

Sachin will present these cars to the three outstanding Olympic athletes at the Gopichand Academy in the presence of Telangana State Minister K.T. Rama Rao and Telangana Badminton Association vice-president V. Chamundeswaranath, who took the initiative to pool the money with his friends and well-wishers to organise this function.
