It was a tough start as Olympian Shagun Chowdhary had rounds of 21, 21 and 23 on the opening day of trap competition in the Shotgun World Cup in Changwon, Korea, on Tuesday.

With a total of 65 out of 75, Shagun was placed 34th among 59 shooters.

The other Indian shooter, Rajeshwari Kumari had more trouble as she mustered a total of 58 from rounds of 18, 24 and 16.

The third Indian shooter Varsha Varman had pulled out from the trip owing to ill health.

Carole Cormenier of France and Wang Xiaojing of China led with 72 out of 75.
