National shooting championships: Double delight for Saurabh, Devanshi

Saurabh Choudhary, together with Devanshi Dhama, came up with an excellent showing and helped Uttar Pradesh to a golden double in the 10m air pistol pairs event in the 62nd National shooting championships here on Friday.
The UP duo stamped its class in the last shot to win the gold medal in the senior section with a total of 481.3, marginally better than the tally of Amanpreet Singh and Shewta Singh (480.8).
In the junior section Saurabh and Devanshi prevailed over Saif Khan and Mahima Turhi Agarwal (Madhya Pradesh). The UP pair finished the final series with a score of 482.4, whereas the MP twosome could touch only 473.1
The gold medal in the youth section was bagged by Haryana team of Manish Narwal and Nisha Yadav who finished with a card of 476.0, edging out Rajkanwar Singh Sandhu and Simranpreet Kaur Brar (Punjab), who followed closely behind at 475.2.
