Joshna Chinappa lost 11-8, 11-7, 11-7.

Joshna Chinappa bowed out of the British Open Squash championship in the second round with a 11-8, 11-7, 11-7 loss to the third seed Raneem El Welily of Egypt. As her compatriot Dipika Pallikal had already exited the tournament on Tuesday, and Saurav Ghosal had failed to cross the qualification phase, Joshna’s defeat ended India’s campaign in the tournament.

Raneem showed a better mix of strokes to outlast Joshna in 27 minutes. The former world champion has been defeated by Joshna only once before - in the Qatar Classic in 2015.
