Ravindra Jadeja becomes father of baby girl

Indian cricketer Ravindra Jadeja on Thursday became father of a baby girl. “Rivaba (Reeva Jadeja, Ravindra’s wife) gave a birth to a baby girl at a private hospital here,” sources close to the player said, adding health condition of both the mother and new-born is normal.
An all-rounder, Jadeja is playing India’s match against Sri Lanka at The Oval in the Champions Trophy, which is currently underway in England.
The left-handed batsman spoke to his wife and other family members through video conference, added sources.
The news came hours before Thursday’s game at The Oval.
“After M. S. Dhoni & Suresh Raina, Sir Ravindra Jadeja has been blessed with a baby daughter.#CSK congrats and best wishes,” read a message on his official twitter handle.
Batsman Suresh Raina tweeted, “Congratulations Riva & @imjadeja! Welcome to an amazing world of parenthood. Wishing you a blissful future with your little bundle of joy!”
Fans greeted Jadeja and his wife on Twitter.
Jadeja and Rivaba Solanki tied the knot last year on April 17.
