Sachin Tendulkar releases poster of his biopic

Tendulkar took to Twitter to share the first look of the film. He tweeted: "Thank you for all the love and support over the years! Watch the #SRTteaseron14thApril at 1 PM on @SachinTheFilm."

Sachin Tendulkar will also be making his debut in the movie.

Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar today released the poster of his upcoming biopic on social media, titled “Sachin: A Billion Dreams”. Tendulkar will also be making his debut in the movie. The biopic has been directed by award-winning British director James Erskine. The film’s teaser will be out on April 14.

The poster reads: “55 Days of training. One pair of trousers. The Sachin story.”

Tendulkar took to Twitter to share the first look of the film. He tweeted: “Thank you for all the love and support over the years! Watch the #SRTteaseron14thApril at 1 PM on @SachinTheFilm.”

The movie’s official account also shared the look. “The journey has begun. Presenting the teaser poster of #SachinTheFilm. Get ready for #SRTteaseron14thApril at 1 PM.”

Other sporting personalities and celebrities also took to Twitter to promote Tendulkar’s movie.

Kolkata Knight Riders co-owner and Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan tweeted tagging Tendulkar: "This one I have to watch. Show me NA soon my friend."

Rohit Sharma, Suresh Raina, Ajinkya Rahane and Tendulkar's former opening partner, Virender Sehwag, also promoted the movie on Twitter.

Tendulkar played 200 Tests and scored 100 centuries across all three formats of the game. Tendulkar retired after his 200th Test at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. He has scored 34357 runs and played in the 664 international matches.

Last year, he was awarded India’s highest civilian honour — the Bharat Ratna. He is also a sitting Rajya Sabha MP.

Mumbai-based production company 200 Not Out is behind the making of the movie. Earlier, Ravi Bhagchandka, the founder of 200 Not Out was quoted as saying: “We decided to work with Erskine after studying his many incredible films involving sports personalities. This will be the first time that he will be working in this part of the world. We will work with the best in the business for the film to be a fitting tribute to the unparalleled achievements of Sachin Tendulkar.”
