Rituja wins ITF title in Thailand

Rutuja Bhosale prevailed in a three-set battle against Hua-Chen Lee of Chinese Taipei in the final.

Rutuja Bhosale won her second singles title of the season as she beat Hua-Chen Lee of Chinese Taipei 6-4, 2-6, 7-5 in the $15,000 ITF tennis final in Thailand on Saturday. Rutuja, however, could not add to her five doubles titles in the professional circuit, as she and Alexandra Walters of Australia, was beaten by the unseeded Indian pair of Zeel Desai and Pranjala Yadlapalli. It was the second doubles title for Zeel and Pranjala. In the $25,000 ITF women’s event in the US, fifth seed Karman Kaur Thandi was beaten in three sets by Robin Anderson of the US. Karman and Sandra Samir of Egypt was beaten in the doubles semifinals.                                                                                 Results
