Big serving Milos Raonic proved too hot on the grass at the Queen’s Club, racing past Yuki Bhambri in the first round of the ATP-500 tennis tournament in London on Tuesday.

Raonic, who fired 13 aces and converted three of six breakpoints - without facing one - led 6-1, 3-1 when Yuki retired.

Yuki had done very well to qualify for the event, but perhaps found the grass too quick when facing the power-play of Raonic.

Davis Cupper Saketh Myneni, who had qualified for the main draw of the $75,000 Challenger in Almaty, won his first round, having outplayed Dzmitry Zhyrmont of Belarus for the loss of four games.

In the $25,000 ITF women’s event in Hong Kong, Karman Kaur Thandi progressed into the second round in both singles and doubles.
