Ngangom Bala Devi is one of the most dynamic forwards Indian women's football has produced. Bala has been in the spotlight from the tender age of 12 and has represented India at various age levels while scoring goals for fun.

The Manipur-born striker made her senior international debut at the age of 15 and is currently one of the most decorated players in the national team at 28.

The highlight of her career came when she scored four goals in the 6-0 rout of Nepal in the SAFF Championship final to help India win its third successive title.

In recent years, Bala has transitioned from being an out-and-out striker into a number 10 role, allowing young strikers to flourish in the national set-up.

Bala was the top-scorer for KRYPHSA in the second edition of the Indian Women's League with 12 goals where her team fell short against the eventual champion Rising Student Club in the semifinals. She has scored five goals in the calendar year for the national team.
