- Indian badminton in mixed doubles off to a horrid start with both the pairs losing their first round matches. However, Sindhu, Saina advance in the women's singles.
- In swimming, Vikram Virdhawal Khade disappoints in the 50 m final. He finishes eighth.
- Iran beats India in kabaddi semifinal as India fails to win the gold medal in kabaddi for the first time.
- Srihari Nataraj finishes sixth in men's 200m backstroke final.
- One medal assured in squash as Harinder Pal Sandhu to meet Saurav Ghosal in the quarterfinal. Dipika and Joshna too advance to the quarters.

7.28 pm (Tennis): India's Rohan Bopanna and Ankita Raina lose their mixed doubles quarterfinal match 4-6, 6-1, 10-6 to Indonesia's Christopher Rungkat and Aldila Sutjiadi to bow out of the Games.
7.15 pm (Tennis): Rohan Bopanna and Ankita Raina get their 'A' came on court and take the second set 6-1 and force the super tie-breaker in this mixed doubles contest. Now, it is a race for 10 points with a 2 point differenece.
6.55 pm (Tennis): Indonesia's Christopher Rungkat and Aldila Sutjiadi win the first set 6-4 against India's Rohan Bopanna and Ankita Raina.
6.45 pm (Basketball): India loses a thriller to Indonesia 66-69 (14-17, 15-14, 21-21, 16-17) in the women's 5x5 basketball match. With the loss, India returns with a dismal 100% loss record (played 4, lost 4). Chinese Taipei leads the group with a 100% win record.
6.25 pm (Tennis): Some tennis action coming our way as Rohan Bopanna, partnering Ankita Raina, are in action against Christopher Rungkat and Aldila Sutjiadi of Indonesia in the mixed-doubles quarterfinals.
6.20 pm (Squash): It is a breeze for India's Dipika Pallikal-Karthik. She beats Indonesia's Yeni Siti Rohmah 3-0 (11-6, 11-5, 11-5) to advance into the quarterfinals. Dipika will meet Japan's Misaki Kobayashi next.
6.17 pm (Basketball): Indonesia leads India 52-50 at the end of three quarters. In the third quarter the teams were locked 21-21.
6.05 pm (Basketball): India is losing its plot in the women's 5x5 basketball match against Indonesia. It trails 49-37 in the third quarter.
5.46 pm (Squash): India's Harinder Pal Sandhu beats Philippines' Andrew Robert Garcia 3-1 to advance to the quarterfinals. Harinder will meet compatriot Saurav Ghoshal in the quarterfinal. That effectively assures India of a medal in squash.
5.43 pm (Basketball): Indonesia has its nose ahead. It leads India 31-29 at the end of the second quarter. India, at one stage, was leading 14-2 in the second quarter before Indonesia pulled it socks to draw close at 14-15.
5.40 pm (Swimming): India's Srihari Nataraj finishes sixth in the men's 200m backstroke final with a timing of 2.02.83, 8.84 seconds behind the gold medal winner China's Jiayu Xu.
5.35 pm (Sport climbing): Fifteen-year-old India's Maibam Chingkheinganba finishes 12th the men's speed finals.
5.28 pm (Basketball): Indian women bounce back to dominate the second quarter against Indonesia in the women's 5x5 basketball match after a dismal 14-17 show in the first quarter. India now leads 28-19 (14-2 in the second quarter).
5.25 pm (Kabaddi): A historic loss for India as it loses to Iran in the semifinals. It is the first time India has failed to win gold in kabaddi. In 2014, India beat Iran in the Incheon Asian Games final to win gold. India also beat Iran in the World Cup last year. ( As the India vs Iran match happened ). Iran will meet Korea in the final while India and Pakistan get a bronze medal .
5.10 pm (Squash): India's Saurav Ghosal beats Pakistan's Tayyab Aslam 3-1 round-of-16 match to move into the last eight. We will have Harinder Pal Sandhu in action very soon, against Philippines' Andrew Robert Garcia and ofcourse, Joshna Chinappa and Dipika Pallikal-Karthik in action later in the evening.
4.59 pm (Badminton): Another loss for India on the badminton courts, in the round-of-32. N. Sikki Reddy and Pranaav Jerry Chopra lose to Malaysia's Liu Ying Gho and Peng Soon Chan in straight sets 15-21, 21-23. The India duo did manage to take the second game down to the wire, but lacked firepower in the end to lose the match.
4.50 pm (Swimming): In swimming 50 m final, Vikram Khade finishes eighth with a timing of 24.48, 0.87 seconds behind the leader, Singapore's Joseph Issac Schooling.
4:38 pm: The men's Kabaddi semifinal between India and Iran is underway. Follow the live updates of the match here .
4:34 pm (Badminton): The errors in the first game cost the other Indian mixed doubles pair of Ashwini Ponnappa and Satwiksairaj. The Indians go down 25-27, 16-21 in their first round match against Thailand's Dechapol Puavaranukroh and Sapsiree Taerattanachai.
4:30 pm (Badminton): Malaysian duo of Liu Ying Gho and Peng Soon Chan take the first game 21-15 against Pranaav Jerry Chopra and Sikki Reddy. Can the Indian pair bounce back in the mixed doubles first round match?
4:25 pm: (Tennis): AND HE DOES IT! Prajnesh Gunneswaran survives a marathon battle against Kwon Soon-woo to defeat him 6-7, 6-4, 7-6 to storm into the semifinals of the men's singles. Medal assured for India.
4:12 pm: (Badminton): The Indians simply fail to capitalise on their opportunities and the Thai duo wins the first game 27-25.
4:03 pm: (Badminton): Stunning! The Indian team saves two game points to make it 20-20. Can they hold their composure and take the game?
4:00 pm: (Badminton): Comeback! Satwiksairaj plays a phenomenal rally to bring India back into the tie. The Indians now trail by two points at 17-19.
3:55 pm: (Badminton) The Thai duo seems to be running away with the first game. They have a healthy six point lead now, scoreline reads 16-10.
3:50 pm: (Badminton) It's a fairly evenly contested tie so far. The scoreline reads 9-7 in favour of the Thai shuttlers.
3:45 pm: (Badminton) The Indian mixed doubles duo of Ashwini Ponnappa and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy faces the Thailand team of Dechapol Puavaranukroh and Sapsiree Taerattanachai in the round of 32.
3:35 pm: (Tennis) Prajnesh Gunneswaran is engaged in a stunning battle against Korea's Kwon Soon-woo in the men's singles quarterfinal. He lost the first set 6-7, won the next one 6-4 and the forced the third set to a tie-breaker. He then went on to to squander four match points and the scoreline reads 6-6 now.
3:25 pm: (Women's vault) Pranati also gets off to a shaky start.
3:15 pm: (Women's vault) Aruna doesn't get off to a great start, she fails to time her jump and lands on her knees. However, she makes amends in the second jump with a sublime finish. Her average score reads 12.775.
3:05 pm: (Women's vault) India's Aruna Reddy and Pranati Nayak will be seen in action soon.
Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore and Abhinav Bindra led the congratulatory messages for young Shardul Vihan.
2:35 pm: (Archery): Atanu Das crashes out of the Recurve Men's Individual Quarterfinal after losing 3-7 to Indonesia's Riau Egaagata Salsabilla.
2:30 pm: (Weightlifting): India's top weightlifting medal contender Sathish Sivalingam finishes 10th in the men's 77kg event, while compatriot Ajay Singh claims the fifth spot.
2:25 pm: (Shooting): SILVER! 15-year-old Shardul Vihan clinches the silver medal in the men's 50m double trap event with a total score of 73. Korea's Hyunwoo Shin claimed the gold while Qatar's Hamad Ali Al Marri bagged the bronze medal.
2:19 pm (Kabaddi): Indian women are through to the final with a 27-14 win over Chinese Taipei.
1:45 pm (Tennis): The Indian men’s doubles team of Rohan Bopanna and Divij Sharan registered a hard fought victory to enter the final. They beat the Japanese duo of Kaito Uesugi and Sho Shimabukuro 4-6, 6-3, 10-8.
1:43 pm (Badminton): Saina Nehwal makes quick work of her first round opponent Soraya Aghaeihajiagha with a 21-7, 21-9 win.
Sumeet Reddy and Manu Attri are through to the pre-quarters of the men's doubles with a 21-10, 21-8 win over Maldives' Mohamed Rasheed and Thoif Mohamed.
1:40 pm (Tennis): Kwon Soon Woo takes the opening set 7-6 against Prajnesh Gunneswaran in the men's singles quarterfinals.
1:29 pm (Badminton): P.V. Sindhu clinches a nail-biting third game to win her opening round match 21-10, 12-21, 23-21 against Thi Trang Vu! The World no. 3 sneaks through to the second round.
1:10 pm (Shooting): No medal for the Indian duo, Shreyasi Singh and Varsha Varma, in the women's doubles trap finals. They finish sixth and seventh, respectively.

12:55 pm (Badminton): Thi Trang Vu levels the match at 1-1 by taking the second game 21-12.
12:44 pm (Shooting): Fifteen-year-old Shardul Vihan qualifies for the final of the men's doubles trap event with a table-topping score of 141! Ankur Mittal finishes ninth.
