The sixth edition of the $100,000 Tata Steel Kolkata 25K will be held here on December 15.
Registrations for the annual run, which has been accorded the status of a Silver Label event by the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF), will open at 7 a.m. on Tuesday.

The race is expected to attract over 15,000 runners across five categories — 25K Run, Open 10K, Ananda Run (5km), Senior Citizens’ Run (2.3km) and Champions with Disability (2.3km).
The entry fee for 25K is ₹1100 and 700, 500 and 200 for Open 10K, Ananda Run and Senior Citizen’s run and Champions with Disability respectively.
To encourage women participation, there are a limited number of running places reserved for women applicants in 25K and Open 10K race categories.
This year Ananda Run will be a timed category. All participants will be awarded a finisher’s medal and a timing certificate, which they can use for official entry into other timed events.
“It’s fascinating to see how Tata Steel Kolkata 25K has become one of the main sporting events of the metro,” said former India cricket captain and face of the event, Sourav Ganguly, at the launch of the event here on Monday.
All the 25K participants will receive exclusive T10 Sports Race Day tee, while the overall top 790 men and 190 women finishers in the Open 10K will receive T10 Sports Finishers tee.
