8:53pm: P.V. Sindhu moves into the quarters with an easy 21-11, 21-13 victory over Deng Joy Xuan.
8:34pm: Sindhu wins three points in a row, the World No.6 leads 10-4.
8:31pm: Sindhu takes a 3-0 lead in the second game, but Deng fights back to make it 3-5.
8:28pm: Sindhu wins the first game 21-11 against Deng Joy Xuan.
8:18pm: P.V. Sindhu's pre-quarterfinal is underway where she is up against Deng Joy Xuan.
8:07pm: Kidambi Srikanth too enters the quarterfinal after 21-11, 21-16 win over Lu Guangzu of China.
7:26pm: H.S. Prannoy pulls it off in the deciding game to move into the quarterfinal of India Open. He beats Jorgensen 21-19, 20-22, 21-17.
7:07pm: Top stuff from Jorgensen as he stays in the hunt by clinching the second game 22-20. Prannoy has to now fight it out in the decider game.
6:54pm: Prannoy is trailing 12-9 after winning the first game 21-19 against Jorgensen. This battle is neck-and-neck in the second with Jorgensen fighting to stay alive.
6:15pm: That will be it as Subhankar's campaign at the India Open ends in the pre-quarters after going down to Wang Tzu Wei 16-21, 13-21. Next up in men's singles — Prannoy vs Jorgensen.
6:02pm: A comeback from here looks difficult for Subhankar in the second game, with Wang Tzu Wei leading 10-4. But you never know, the Indian shuttler has the ability to close the gap.
5:55pm: Subhankar Dey concedes the first game 16-21 to Wang Tzu Wei. Remember, yesterday he created the biggest upset of the tournament by knocking Tommy Sugiarto out. In that match too, he had lost the first game and then fought back.

3:21pm: Parupalli Kashyap downs Thailand's Tanongsak Saensomboonsuk 21-11, 21-13 in 36 minutes and progress to quarterfinals. He is the second Indian to reach the quarters after B. Sai Praneeth beat compatriot Sameer Verma 18-21, 21-16, 21-15 earlier in the day.

3:05pm: Kashyap wins a dominating first game 21-11 against Thailand's Tanongsak Saensomboonsuk.
