Kashyap gets temporary document after passport loss

India shuttler Parupalli Kashyap, while travelling for the Denmark Open and the other majors in the European circuit, lost his passport in Amsterdam.

Kashyap, in his tweet, also tagged the Union External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Union Sports Minister Rajyavardhan Rathore's prompt response to the tweet from shuttler Parupalli Kashyap about losing his passport in Amsterdam provided relief for the Hyderabadi who is travelling for the Denmark Open and other majors in the European circuit.

Kashyap informed Sportstar late on Saturday night that he had been provided a temporary document this evening.

"I think that should be ok for me to travel around," he said.

Kashyap, in his tweet, tagged the Union External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

 

For his part, the Union Sports Minister was quick to respond tweeting that he had spoken to the MEA  and the Indian Embassy in Netherlands to ensure the matter is resolved as early as possible.

 

Kashyap thanked the Minister and the Indian Ambassador in Netherlands for the prompt action.
