Cricketer S. Sreesanth has reacted angrily to the Kerala High Court division bench’s verdict on Tuesday that has brought his life ban back.
In August, a single bench of the High Court had lifted the life ban imposed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Sreesanth. But a division bench on Tuesday allowed the BCCI’s appeal against the single bench’s decision.
“This is the worst decision ever…special rule for me?” said Sreesanth in a series of tweets on Tuesday. “What about the real culprits? What about Chennai Super Kings? And what about Rajasthan?
“And what about the accused 13 names in the Lodha report? No one wants to know about it?”

SREESANTH TO FIGHT
Sreesanth made it clear that he would keep fighting, which means that he will be going to the Supreme Court. “I will keep fighting…I assure you all that I’m not giving to give up.”
The 34-year-old, who has been undergoing fitness tests and training in Chennai for the last couple of weeks, had hoped to play Kerala’s next Ranji Trophy home match against Rajasthan in Thiruvananthapuram next week.
“He was very confident of coming back this season. He was also preparing for it. He came to Thiruvananthapuram and had a chat with Kerala coach Dav Whatmore. He had also spoken to Tinu,” said Jayesh George, the secretary of the Kerala Cricket Association (KCA).
“We all thought something positive would come out of this so that Sreesanth could play the Ranji Trophy. I had a meeting with him after the earlier verdict (the single bench verdict which came in Sreesanth’s favour). We are very disappointed.
“We had also sent an email to the BCCI that Sreesanth should be made available for this season. But we did not get a reply.”
Jayesh said that the KCA was now helpless after the new verdict.
“We can’t do anything now because the CoA (the Supreme Court-appointed Committee of Administrators) is controlling the BCCI. We don’t have any voice there.”
