BCCI suspends GCA officials

Chetan Desai (in pic) and Vinod Phadke have been arrested by the Economic Offense Cell of Goa.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to suspend Goa Cricket Association (GCA) president Chetan Desai and secretary Vinod Phadke for allegations in connection with misappropriation of funds of the GCA.

The BCCI will investigate the allegations and both have been served with show-cause notices. They have been given 15 days to submit their replies.

Both will also remain suspended from the BCCI committees till the inquiry is complete.

Desai was the chairman of the Marketing Committee and Phadke was an acting member of the Information and Technology Committee.
