CoA tells BCCI to adopt Supreme Court Order

In the event implementation-related resolution not being adopted, the COA will ask the Supreme Court on July 14 to register the new MOU and Rules and Regulations with the Registrar of Societies in Tamil Nadu, without any changes.

The CoA has asked the BCCI to adopt the order requesting the apex court to consider removing three points that it would find difficult to implement.

The Supreme Court appointed  Committee of Administrators (CoA), reduced to three with the resignation of Ramchandra Guha, has asked the BCCI to adopt the apex court’s order of July 18, 2016,  that has endorsed the Justice Lodha Committee’s reforms in cricket report. The  implementation of the order is the first item on the agenda of the BCCI SGM here on Monday afternoon.    The CoA has asked the BCCI to adopt the order requesting the apex court to consider removing three points that it would find difficult to implement.

The committee has also told the BCCI full members at two separate meetings held here on Sunday that in the event implementation-related resolution not being adopted,  it will ask the Supreme Court on July 14 to register the new MOU and Rules and Regulations with the Registrar of Societies in Tamil Nadu, without any changes. The CoA has also told the BCCI to adopt the Conflict of Interest rules as authored by the Lodha Committee and name the Ombudsman from the list of six names it has given to it.
