Playing for Ariadaha Sporting Club, Saif grabbed 10 wickets for 28 as his side defeated National Athletic Club by 38 runs at the Taltala ground in Kolkata.

Hailing from Ariadaha in the northern fringe of Kolkata, Saif is a big fan of former New Zealand skipper Daniel Vettori, and he says that the wicket was spinner-friendly. “It helped the spinners and I concentrated on getting turn and bounce,” Saif said.

Out of ten wickets, two came following LBW and the remaining eight wickets came through catches, and that’s why Safi credits his team-mates.

Brief score: Ariadaha Sporting Club 136 bt National Athletic Club 99 (Mohammed Saif 10-28)
