Baba Indrajith scored a century to lift Tamil Nadu, against Railways, in New Delhi.

Karnataka lost five wickets for 55 runs to squander a firm base batting first against Rajasthan on a greenish pitch in Jaipur. Half-centuries from Mayank Agarwal and Samarth R steered them to 177 for 3, before a slump had them struggling at 232 for 8. But a rearguard effort from Shreyas Gopal helped them finish at a reasonable 270 for 8.

The wickets were shared around, with seamers Aniket Choundhar, Deepak Chahar, and Tanveer-ul-Haq claiming six of the eight wickets to fall. Choudhary, with three for 72 in his 22 overs, had the most impressive figures.

Middle-order batsman Baba Indrajith scored a boundary-filled, unbeaten century for Tamil Nadu to take them to 288 for 6 on the first day against Railways at the Karnal Singh Stadium in New Delhi. Captain Abhinav Mukund, with 49, and J Kousik (32) were among the other contributors failed to kick on after getting starts.

Right-arm fast bowler Anureet Singh took three wickets for Railways.
