Vijay Hazare: Hussain's heroics with the ball derails Services

Chhatisgarh's Shahnawaz Hussain returned with figures of 9.5-0-44-6 as Services was bowled out for 219 and later lost the match by four wickets.

The Services batsmen came a cropper against the accurate bowling of Chhatisgarh's Shahnawaz Hussain.

Half-centuries from Shashank Chandraker and Sahban Khan ensured a four-wicket win for Chhatisgarh in its Vijay Hazare Trophy match against Services in Hyderabad on Tuesday.

Batting first after winning the toss, Services rode on skipper Gahlaut Rahul Singh's 91 to breach the 200-run mark. The Services batsmen came a cropper against the accurate bowling of Shahnawaz Hussain and lost its last six wickets for a mere 19 runs to be bowled out for 219 in the 45th over.

Hussian returned with figures of 9.5-0-44-6 while Rahul's 91 came off 79 balls with five fours and one six. Rahul was the fifth wicket to fall and the rest of the Services batting crumbled soon after.

Chasing 220, Chhatisgarh paced its innings well and Chandraker (70 off 84 balls, 4 fours, 5 sixes) and Khan (52*, 62 balls, 3 fours, 2 sixes) ensured their team crossed the finish line with minimal hiccups.
