The TNCA hasn’t paid its ‘lease rent’ arrears for the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium.

The Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) held an emergency meeting here on Thursday to discuss the issues arising out of freezing of its bank accounts by the State government for non-payment of ‘lease rent’ arrears for the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium.

The TNCA, which has subsequently moved the High Court for relief, faces some serious issues such as paying salaries to its office-staff, coaches and groundsmen. The State Government has claimed around Rs. 1,550 crore from the TNCA.
