Aspirants who have already applied will not need to send their applications again, the BCCI has said.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has extended its deadline pertaining to submission of applications for the post of India’s head coach to July 9. This development comes days after Anil Kumble resigned as head coach due to differences with captain Virat Kohli, with the board now possibly wishing to choose from a wider pool of applicants. The earlier deadline was May 31.

Aspirants who have already applied to fill the spot left vacant by Kumble will not have to apply again, and will be included in the final list of applicants, the BCCI has stated in its communique. “Interested candidates should send their application to coachappointment@bcci.tv and need to be available for personal/video interviews in the following week,” BCCI stated.
