Twin hundreds by M.S. Dhoni and K.L. Rahul powered India to 359/7 in a warm-up match against Bangladesh at the Sophia Gardens, Cardiff on Tuesday.
Inserted in to bat, India slipped to four for 102 when a 164 run stand between Dhoni and Rahul, first steadied India's ship before putting the opposition bowlers under the cosh.
Rahul made a strong case for the No. 4 position with a 99-ball 108 during which he struckfour sixes and 12 fours. Dhoni, at the other end, reached the three figure mark with a thunderous six straight down the ground. The veteran keeper-batsman hit seven sixes and eight fours during his 78-ball 113 as India set Bangladesh a daunting target of 360.
In response, fifties from Mushfiqur Rahim and Liton Das kept Bangladesh in the hunt before Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal ran through the opposition middle-order to hand India a convincing win. Chahal and Kuldeep, though, expensive in parts took three wickets apiece and were ably supported by Jasprit Bumrah whose double-strike dimmed Bangladesh's initial thrust.
