Liam Plunkett is making his IPL debut against Kings XI Punjab.

Ashwin : "We aren't sure as to how the surface will behave. Our first time here and it's quite tough to decide. Chris Gayle goes out and Aaron Finch will open the batting.  David Miller comes in. The big man is a bit sore and it gives Aaron up the order a bit of a chance. Have to see how it goes."

Gambhir:  "We are going to bowl. It won't change much and I think dew will play a big role later on. We had just a few practice sessions here and aren't sure of how the surface will play. We have two forced changes - Chris Morris is out injured and so is Jason Roy. We have
Dan Christian  coming in and
Liam Plunkett  as well."

Kings XI Punjab : KL Rahul (w), Aaron Finch, Mayank Agarwal, Karun Nair, Yuvraj Singh, David Miller, R. Ashwin (c), Andrew Tye, Barinder Sran, Ankit Rajpoot, Mujeeb Ur Rahman

Delhi Daredevils : Gautam Gambhir (c), Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant (w), Glenn Maxwell, Daniel Christian, Vijay Shankar, Rahul Tewatia, Liam Plunkett, Shahbaz Nadeem, Harshal Patel, Trent Boult

Delhi Daredevils opts to bowl . Big call from Kings XI to rest Gayle tonight. Aaron Finch will move up the order alongside KL Rahul.

Jamaican marauder Chris Gayle has found his mojo back but can young Rishabh Pant match the Windies giant, stroke for stroke?

Here's our preview for tonight's match: Desperate Daredevils opens home campaign against Kings

For the second time in a fortnight,  Kings XI Punjab  will clash with  Delhi Daredevils.  Since that campaign-opener, Kings XI has picked up steam to reach the top of the point-table while Daredevils finds itself in the cellar even before its first home game.

In keeping with the contrasting positions in the race for the playoff spots, what is working so far for Kings has become a problem area for Daredevils.
