Deepak Chahar - Dhoni's trump card for CSK
All-rounder Deepak Chahar has opened the bowling for CSK in every game and has played a vital role in the team's unbeaten run in IPL 2019.

Deepak Chahar has been MS Dhoni's go to man in the ongoing IPL and has delivered the goods for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
The Rajasthan all-rounder has made sure that his captain Dhoni has his key bowlers ready for the middle overs by bowling his quota of four overs upfront while also being economical.
The 26-year old currently has the second best bowling economy with 5.12 behind Sunrisers Hyderabad's Mohammed Nabi, who has bowled 10 overs less than Chahar.
He has gone for 0-17, 0-20, in the first two matches on spinning turfs which allowed the spin partnership of Ravindra Jadeja and Imran Tahir to blow away the opposition.

Against Rajasthan Royals, Chahar's figures of 4-1-19-2 , which included the key wickets of Ajinkya Rahane for a duck and an in-form Sanju Samson, put the Rajasthan batting line-up under immense pressure.
On Wednesday, Chahar once again did the job for his captain as he removed the dangerous Quinton de Kock. However, with Suryakumar Yadav middling almost everything, Dhoni was forced to withdraw Chahar after the pacer went for plenty in the third over.
Despite taking a beating, Chahar remains an integral part of the CSK bowling line-up.
