India’s pace ace, Jasprit Bumrah, suffered an injury on his left shoulder during the Indian Premier League match between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals on Sunday.
In the final over of Delhi Capitals innings, Rishabh Pant hit the ball back to Bumrah, who dived to his left in his follow-through to stop it. Bumrah was seen clutching his left-shoulder after he dived to save the ball.
The pacer needed the help of the physio to laboriously walk back to the dugout.
With the World Cup a couple of months away, this will keep the Indian team on the tenterhooks. He also did not come out to bat later in the evening.
The Mumbai Indians team management, however, said that the pacer is recovering well. He will, however, be assessed further on Monday and the future course of action will be decided accordingly.
