If the first day of the Indian Premier League auction belonged to Ben Stokes, the second day had a surprise element as India pacer Jaydev Unadkat was snapped up by Rajasthan Royals for a huge deal of Rs. 11.5 crore.

The pacer from Saurashtra, who returned to the national side in December after quite a while, found himself in the middle of some heavy bidding from Kings XI Punjab and Chennai Super Kings before Rajasthan Royals entered the arena to pick him for a huge deal.

With this, he became the costliest Indian player so far. Unadkat revived his career after a successful season with Rising Pune Supergiant last year. And, when he was picked for the T20 series against Sri Lanka, he scalped four wickets to get noticed once again.
