Shikhar Dhawan scored 34 off 37 balls before falling to Amit Mishra in the 13th over.
Mishra, the legspinner, claimed the wickets of Dhawan and Yuvraj Singh, to have Sunrisers falter. Sunrisers eventually limped to 146 for 8.
Quinton de Kock began the chase with an attacking knock of 44.
The base laid by de Kock was consolidated by Sanju Samson, who scored an unbeaten 34, and his middle-order partner Rishabh Pant.
Pant scored an unbeaten 39 to help take his team home in the 19th over.
