Hello and welcome to Sportstar's LIVE coverage of IPL 2021  Match 24 between Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

Result: Mumbai Indians beat Rajasthan Royals by 7 wickets

Commendable show by Mumbai Indians as the Rohit Sharma-led side cam out with a clinical show and Rajasthan was clearly 15-20 short. Chasing 172, Quinton de Kock anchored the chase with an unbeaten 65 off 48 balls and forged a half-century stand with Krunal Pandya. Kieron Pollard then sealed the chase with a couple of big hits. That's all we have for us but do join us for the second match of the day where Delhi Capitals have won the toss and elected to bowl first against Kolkata Knight Riders.

Mumbai 163/3 after 18 overs: Bit of comedy from Pollard as he waves to the ball to reach the fence and the ball does! Morris bowls a short ball, Pollard ducks and the ball hits his helmet and runs away to the fine leg fence. The big man from Trinidad had smoked Morris for a six over extra cover and this is getting easier for MUmbai.

Mumbai 147/3 after 17 overs: Timber! Krunal Pandya is distraught as an inside edge gives Mustafizur his first wicket and it remains to be seen if this is the turning point. Kieron Pollard joins de Kock. 25 runs off 18 balls.

Mumbai 140/2 after 16 overs: Top shot from Krunal Pandya as he picks a yorker delivery, glancing down the leg side from Morris and flicks it to the deep square leg boundary and the ball races away to the fence. Mumbai stepping on the gas at the right time. Needs 32 runs in 24 balls

Mumbai 131/2 after 15 overs: Krunal Pandya is playing a little gem here and this time he smokes Tewatia sight over the sightscreen and Mumbai in complete control of the chase, at the moment. Rajasthan needs to orchestrate a collapse to stun the mighty Mumbai batting.

Mumbai 119/2 after 14 overs: Quinton de Kock survives as Jaiswal almost took a stunning running catch but just couldn't hold on to it. De Kock and Krunal are driving Mumbai and this partnership has prospered with the wicket-keeper getting to his maiden IPL fifty, this season. Rajasthan needs wickets.

Mumbai 111/2 after 13 overs: Rahul Tewatia tightens things as he bowls a decent over and most importantly doesn't concedes a boundary. Mumbai going at 8.51 rpo at the moment and are almost level with the required rate.

Mumbai 106/2 after 12 overs: There it is. Half-century for Quinton de Kock and what a fiery knock this has been from the opener. To class and he roars back into form at the right moment. Takes a single off Unadkat and raises his bat. Krunal get going as he picks the slower one nicely and drills it through the wide of cover for a boundary.

Mumbai 97/2 after 11 overs: A good over by Shivam Dube as he keeps both the batsmen at bay but a wide and leg-byes make it 10 runs in the over with de Kock still batting on 49.

Mumbai 87/2 after 10 overs: Chris Morris strikes and he gets the prized scalp of Suryakumar Yadav, who tried to play a little whip but hits it straight to Buttler at mid-wicket. Another couple of wickets and Rajasthan will be right back in this game.  Krunal Pandya is the new man in and Morris welcomes him with a well-directed bumper and the batsman does well to evade it.

Mumbai 83/1 after 9 overs: Excellent shot from de Kock as he whacks Unadkat straight past the bowler and he is now just three runs short of his half-century. Rajasthan need wickets in cluster.

Mumbai 71/1 after 8 overs: Poor review by Samson... A huge inside edge off Mustafizur and de Kock was confident he had nicked the ball. Samson had a chat with Mustafizur but surprised everyone by taking the review in the last minute. Desperation. Mumbai needs 101 runs in 72 deliveries.

Mumbai 63/1 after 7 overs: Rahul Tewatia into the attack and both Suryakumar and de Kock loot 14 runs with the former playing a brillaint inside out shot and then a cut through point to drive Mumbai ahead. De Kock ended the over with a brilliant reverse sweep.

Mumbai 49/1 after 6 overs: Chris Morris strikes and he picks Mumbai skipper Rohit Sharma who popped a full ball straight to Sakaria at mid-on. Much-needed breakthrough for Rajasthan. Suryakumar Yadav is the new man in.

Mumbai 36/0 after 5 overs: Rohit gets into the act as Unadkat bowls short and the Mumbai skipper launches him over the deep mid-wicket for a maximum. But the bowler does well to limit the damage and ends the over well.

Mumbai 27/0 after 4 overs: Innovative from de Kock as after a beautiful steer through the backward point for a boundary, the wicket-keeper shuffles across and picks Mustafizur's length ball and propels the ball over the fine leg. Rohit meanwhile, is happy to play second fiddle.

Mumbai 14/0 after 3 overs: Top shot from Quinton de Kock as he nails Sakaria through the covers for a boundary and Mumbai off to a sedate start.

Mumbai 7/0 after 2 overs: Rohit survives! A direct-hit at the bowler's end and Rohit was a goner. The Mumbai skipper steers Unadkat to point, Tewatia stops and fires in a throw but the ball just misses the stumps.

Mumbai 4/0 after 1 over: Rohit is off the blocks straightaway with a couple with a glance to the mid-wicket and de Kock too gets going with a single. Good start by Sakaria and Rajasthan will need wickets upfront.

Right then we are back for the chase and Mumbai needs 172 runs off 120 balls. Rohit Sharma and Quinton de Kock are out in the middle and it will be Chetan Sakariya with the new ball.

End of Innings: Rajasthan 171/4

Nathan Coulter-Nile gives 12 runs from the final over as Rajasthan Royals manage to post 171/4 and on a good batting track, they might be 10 runs short. Buttler and Jaiswal gave the team a good start but Rahul Chahar with his two wickets brought Mumbai back into the game. Shivam Dube hit some lusty blows but clearly lacked timing and Samson did his part with a 27-ball 42. Royals will believe they have the score but Mumbai will fancy their chances with the skipper in good touch.  Back for the chase in a bit.

Rajasthan 159/4 after 19 overs: Bumrah picks a wicket and with a low full toss ends Dube's innings who offers a simple return catch to the bowler. He departs for 31-ball 35 and Rajasthan will hope for a good final over.

Rajasthan 155/3 after 18 overs: Boult fires in an excellent yorker and removes Samson as Mumbai has managed to keep the pressure on Rajasthan. Dube, however, connects one and dispatches Boult well over the long-on for a maximum to bring the 150 up

Rajasthan 145/2 after 17 overs: Excellent from Bumrah as he gives just five runs and Dube is clearly struggling to time the ball and pierce the gaps. His shots have gone straight to the fielders and his inability to use the long levers to good effect might cost Rajasthan.

Rajasthan 140/2 after 16 overs: Samson finally finds the fence as he drills Boult first over the bowler's head and then a thick edge helps the ball race away to the third man boundary. 14 runs off the over and Rajasthan se for the final flourish.

Rajasthan 126/2 after 15 overs: Much-needed six and Shivam Dube is playing his part as this time he takes the aerial route over the long-on region. Samson meanwhile, is banking on singles and waiting for an opportunity to tee off.

Rajasthan 113/2 after 14 overs: Excellent spell from Rahul Chahar as he finishes with 4-0-33-2 and has done well to contain Samson. Mumbai in search for some wickets while Rajasthan will look to up the ante. Time for Drinks.

Rajasthan 109/2 after 13 overs: Dube muscles Coulter-Nile through the covers for a boundary and continues to ride his luck after Trent Boult misjudged a catch off Coulter-Nile. Rajasthan accelerating at 8.38 runs an over and Samson is ready to tee off.

Rajasthan 100/2 after 12 overs: A slog helps Dube get off the mark with a boundary but Rahul Chahar is bowling excellently with an attacking mindset. Meanwhile, the 100 is up for Rajasthan and Samson holds the key from here. Game evenly posied.

Rajasthan 92/2 after 11 overs: Pressure back on Rajasthan as Nathan Coulter-Nile makes a brilliant comeback as he gives just a single. Shivam Dube has played five straight dot balls and is yet to open his account after facing six deliveries.

Rajasthan 91/2 after 10 overs: Soft dismissal and Rahul Chahar picks up his second wicket. Caught and bowled and Jaiswal, who was playing so well departs for a 20-ball 32. The southpaw launched Chahar into the stands for a maximum but the bowler makes a brilliant comeback as he foxes the batsman with a googly and Jaiswal closes the face of the bat a little early, gets a leading edge and offers Chahar a simple catch.

Rajasthan 83/1 after 9 overs: Samson is looking in solid touch as he welcomes Krunal Pandya into the attack with a lofted shot over mid-wicket for a boundary and ends the over with a firm pull through the square leg. The pitch is looking very good for batting with the ball coming nicely on to the bat.

Rajasthan 71/1 after 8 overs: Buttler was happily depositing the long-hops over the deep mid-wicket boundary but Rahul Chahar strikes to remove the Royals opener. Chahal deceives Buttler with a slower one as he dances down the track only to miss the ball and Quinton de Kock does the rest. Buttler was not even in the frame when de Kock broke the stumps. Sanju Samson walks in and he is off the mark with a boundary.

Rajasthan 58/0 after 7 overs: Jos Buttler has unsettled Jayant Yadav as he smokes the spinner over the deep mid-wicket for a maximum and whatever nerves Buttler had seem to have disappeared. Mumbai in need of a wicket as both the openers are now dealing in boundaries.

Rajasthan 47/0 after 6 overs: Yashasvi Jaiswal into the act and the pressure created by Bumrah and Boult has been released as Nathan Coulter-Nile leaks 14 runs in his opening over. Jaiswal was harsh on the bowler as he first made room and hammered through extra cover for a boundary. Coulter-Nile then bowls short and Jaiswal was up for the pull and connects brilliantly as the ball flies over the deep square leg for a maximum. Fine PowerPlay by Royals. Timeout!

Rajasthan 33/0 after 5 overs: Buttler is living dangerously but he breaks away from the shakles with a brilliant pull for a maximum and boundary over the mid-wicket region as Rajasthan if off to a sedate start. Jayant Yadav almost had Buttler in his very first ball as he induced a leading edge that fell short of a diving Rahul Chahar at backward point.

Rajasthan 20/0 after 4 overs: Couple of missed opportunities and it's Buttler who survives both the times. An inside edge onto Buttler's pad and the ball balooned in the air but fell just short of Bumrah who almost had the batsmen in his follow through. Buttler then challenges the arm of Kieron Pollard at mid-on and a direct hit would have caught the Royals opener way short of his crease. Pressure being built by Mumbai.

Rajasthan 19/0 after 3 overs: Jaiswal gets his first boundary as Boult digs one short and the southpaw went for the pull and had enough power to get the ball cross the mid-wicket fence. Boult is clocking good speeds but the batsmen are up for the challenge.

Rajasthan 11/0 after 2 overs: Top start from Jasprit Bumrah and both Buttler and Jaiswal are very cautious while dealing with pace. Bumrah squares up Buttler but the batsman plays with soft hands and the pace helps Buttler fetch a boundary but Bumrah ended the over with a brute of a yorker that Buttler jammed out. Jaiswal is off the mark with a single.

Rajasthan 5/0 after 1 over: Excellent from Boult as although he started with a straight delivery that Buttler helped to the fine leg boundary, the New Zealand fast bowler corrects his length and beats Buttler on a couple of occassions. There is a hint of swing and Boult will make sure he makes most of the surface after Rohit won the toss and elected to bowl first.

Right then the Mumbai Indians led by Rohit Sharma in a huddle before sprinting off on a hot afternoon in Delhi. Out walk the Rajasthan openers Jos Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal. It will be Trent Boult with the new ball with Buttler on strike. Here we go!

It holds the edge when it comes to recent head-to-head record, having won five of the last six matches against dominant Mumbai Indians. However, ahead of its clash against the defending champion, Rajasthan Royals will be hoping to make the most of its limited resources.

As if losing Jofra Archer and Ben Stokes to injuries wasn’t a big blow, the Royals will also miss the services of Liam Livingstone and Andrew Tye, who have pulled out due to COVID-related issues. The new captain-director of cricket combo of Sanju Samson and Kumar Sangakkara will be hoping to make the best of the four overseas cricketers - Jos Buttler, David Miller, Chris Morris and Mustafizur Rahman - at their disposal.
