Rohit Sharma will be hoping to get back to full fitness ahead of Mumbai Indians first match against Rising Pune Supergiants on April 6.

The Mumbai Indians' preparation for the Indian Premier League's tenth season will switch gears on Friday with a spree of stars, including captain Rohit Sharma, set to join the squad's training camp at the Wankhede Stadium.

For the last five days, including Thursday, many domestic players along with promising Caribbean Nicholas Pooran have been going through the drills under the watchful eyes of a high-profile support staff, led by head coach Mahela Jayawardene. Australia speedster Mitchell Johnson joined the preparations two days ago on his comeback stint with the two-times IPL champions.

Friday will see Rohit, along with Harbhajan Singh, Parthiv Patel, New Zealand pacer Mitchell McClenaghan and England big-hitter Jos Buttler, make their appearance in MI's training jersey ahead of its season-opener, in Pune on April 6.

It would be interesting to see if Rohit is fully fit. The India opener, having recovered from a thigh surgery, did mark a comeback during the league stage of the Vijay Hazare Trophy after spending four months on the sidelines. However, he had to pull out of the last week's Deodhar Trophy due to a knee niggle.
