Imran Tahir was surprisingly one of the unsold players in the IPL auction, before eventually joining the Rising Pune Supergiant. He is third highest wicket-taker in the tournament. He has been economical and the most consistent Pune bowler, handling its middle overs and death overs.
He conceded only 24 runs against Delhi, where all the bowlers were punished and Delhi scored 205. Gujarat Lions bowling too has been poor, and the team has taken only one wicket in the two matches played so far. This means its batsmen will have to score big to have any chance of winning. Suresh Raina will hold the key for the team in the middle order as he has shown the old spark in the tournament. He scored 68 in the first match to help Gujarat post a big score.
