Kuldeep Yadav replaces injured Mishra for Bangladesh Test

Left-arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav has replaced injured leg-spinner Amit Mishra in India's squad for the Test against Bangladesh in Hyderabad.

Left-arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav has been named as replacement for the injured leg-spinner Amit Mishra in India’s squad for the one-off Test against Bangladesh in Hyderabad. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced this via a communiqué on Tuesday.

22-year-old Kuldeep, a chinaman bowler, has played 22 first-class matches for Uttar Pradesh, and has taken five four-wicket hauls and three five-wicket hauls in his career. Kuldeep most recently played the two-day practice match for India A against the visiting Bangladesh team.

Mishra suffered his knee injury in the Twenty20 International match against England in Bengaluru. The communiqué by the BCCI says, “He has been advised rest and will undergo further medical examination”.
