Bengal retained batsman Manoj Tiwary as the captain while announcing a 16-member squad for the Ranji Trophy opener against Himachal Pradesh.

Bengal retained batsman Manoj Tiwary as the captain while announcing a 16-member squad for the Ranji Trophy opener against Himachal Pradesh, which will be played in Amtar from November 1 to 4.

The squad has two new names in all-rounder Shahbaz Ahmed and leg-break bowler Prayash Ray Burman. Former India batsman Arun Lal, who has recently been appointed as the mentor after the team’s poor performance in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, is likely to travel with the side.
