Smriti Mandhana will captain India in the upcoming T20 series against England.

In the absence of the injured Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana will captain India in the three-match T20 series against England.

Harmanpreet has not yet fully recovered from the recurring anke injury that ruled her out of the ODI series and will continue her rehab at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru.

All-rounder Harleen Deol, who was named as Harmanpreet's replacement in the ODI series, is also part of the T20 squad.

The Indian women's team will play three T20Is against England in Guwahati from March 4.
