Jharkhand’s Ishan Kishan slammed his second century in three days at the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy to propel his team to a 121-run win over Manipur at the Mulapadu Cricket Complex here on Sunday.
Batting first, Jharkhand was off to a brisk start. Ishan put on 54 runs with fellow opener Anand Singh. Anand’s dismissal, in the fifth over, didn’t provide any relief to the opposition, as Ishan then combined with Virat Singh (73 n.o., 7X4, 3X6) to add another 165 runs. He finished with an unbeaten 113 (62b, 12X4, 5X6).
Manipur was never really in the hunt, in reply. It finished at 98 for nine. Off-spinner Utkarsh Singh and fast bowler Rahul Shukla took three wickets each.
Close win for Delhi
In a far less one-sided contest, Delhi warded off a spirited challenge from Jammu & Kashmir to record a four-wicket win in the final over.

Chasing 189 for seven, Delhi lost wicket at regular intervals before Lalit Yadav (47 n.o., 28b, 7X4, 1X6) and Pawan Negi (15, 7b, 1X6) joined together. In the last over, it looked as if J&K would pull off an upset win; but Negi hit a six off the penultimate ball of the innings off Manzoor Dar to clinch the contest in Delhi’s favour.
Late in the evening, Kerala notched up an eight-run win over Andhra.
