Virat Kohli fastest to 10,000 ODI runs
Virat Kohli reached the 10,000-run mark in ODI cricket in only 205 innings, 54 innings less than Sachin Tendulkar.

India skipper Virat Kohli became the fastest to reach 10,000 runs in ODI cricket during the second ODI against West Indies in Vishakapatnam, achieving the feat in only his 205th innings.
Kohli is the fastest to the mark both in terms of innings and time taken. He took 205 innings (54 innings lesser than Sachin Tendulkar) and 10 years and 67 days (257 days lesser than Rahul Dravid) to cross the 10,000-run mark.
Virat Kohli made his first ODI run in 2008 under Mahendra Singh Dhoni's captaincy. And as he scored his 10,000th, it was Dhoni who was at the crease with him.
As he breaks into the 10k club, he joins Indian cricket icons Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, M.S. Dhoni and Rahul Dravid among others in a list dominated by Asians. Ricky Ponting, Jacques Kallis and Brian Lara are the only non-Asians on the list.
Kohli needed 81 runs to reach the mark, going into the second fixture against Windies in Visakhapatnam.

With a hundred against Windies in the first ODI at Guwahati, Kohli became the fastest to 60 international hundreds - 36 in ODIs and 24 in Tests.
Twenty out of his 36 hundreds in ODIs have come in successful chases, in which his average is a staggering 98.25. He scored eight of them while chasing scores above 300. India's win percentage when Kohli scores a century is 89%.
