India tops World Test Championship table with 240 points
With this win, the Virat Kohli-led side recorded its 11th straight win at home as the team completed their first-ever whitewash against South Africa.

It took India just 12 deliveries to complete the formalities as it beat South Africa by an innings and 202 in the final Test at the JSCA Stadium in Ranchi.
With this win, the Virat Kohli-led side recorded its 11th straight win at home as the team completed their first-ever whitewash against South Africa.
Ever since the ICC World Test Championship was introduced, this was India's fifth straight win as the team pocketed another 120 points and sit pretty on top of the points table with 240 points. Each Test win is worthy 40 points.

The gap between India and New Zealand is huge as the table toppers enjoy a lead of 180 points over second placed New Zealand who have 60 points. Third placed Sri Lanka also have 60 points and is followed by Australia (56 points) and England (56 points).

In the three-match Test series against South Africa, India won the first Test by 203 runs and the second by an innings 137 runs. The third in Ranchi saw the home side completing a whitewash by winning the Test by an innings and 202 runs.
The top two teams at the end of the league will play the final in the UK in June 2021 with the winners crowned the world Test champions.
