Women's World Cup: Players to look out for
Team Sportstar

/ 6
India captain Mithali Raj is playing in her fifth and final World Cup and will look to finish on a high. She is the second leading run scorer in the history of women's cricket and is currently ranked second in the world. Her form is crucial to India's plans of winning its first title.
▲
Meg Lanning, the only women's cricketer to have scored 10 ODI centuries, will lead defending champion Australia in the World Cup. Helming the team, topping the batting charts and breaking records are her way of life and it will be surprising if she and her team doesn't live up to the favourites tag.
▲
Marizanne Kapp is the No. 1 ODI bowler in the world and third in the list of all-rounders. South Africa will be heavily reliant on this superwoman pacer to shed the tag of underdog and record wins against big teams. Marizanna has experience and skill, and is a stable middle-order batsman.
▲
Harmanpreet Kaur has been making all the right noises in the lead up to the tournament. She is the first Indian cricketer to play in the Women's Big Bash League (Sydney Thunder) and is also set to play in the in the Kia Super League for Surrey Stars. Those lucrative deals give clear indications of her calibre as a batswoman.
▲
If Meg Lanning is Australia's batting mainstay, Ellyse Perry is the team's go-to woman. She can hit some mighty blows with her bat in the middle-order and can tilt games with her crucial breakthroughs with the ball. She is the all-rounder every team wishes for.
▲
No list is complete without the mention of West Indies skipper Stafanie Taylor. The No. 1 all-rounder in the world boasts an enviable No. 2 ranking in bowling and a credible No. 5 in batting. That pretty much explains her worth for the T20 world champions.
